We take our roles as climbing ambassadors very seriously, and we support causes that affect our sport such as land access, environmental stewardship, local legislation, and human-rights.DescriptionJob Overview: Fitness Instructors at ASCEND are responsible for leading safe, engaging fitness classes for all ability levels.Main Responsibilities & DutiesDevelop an appropriate warmup, workout, & cool down for all ability levels for each class you teachEnsure that participants are using correct form in order to decrease the risk for injuryEffectively coach participants through progression & regression of all movements if necessaryProvide an energetic, engaging, and supportive atmosphere to participantsCheck in participants on our CRMActively promote yourself and the ASCEND fitness program.Teach a minimum of 2 classes/week.Support your team and sub once every 2 months (if needed)Keep the fitness area and equipment tidy.Qualities & Experience4+ years of experience with fitness or sports-related activity1+ years in the professional fitness industryEffective & efficient workout modification experiencePrevious Group Fitness Exercise experience with classes of 15 or more (Examples: Cross-Fit, pilates, boot camp, plyometrics, etc.)Effective communication skillsAn understanding of current trends in fitness (locomotives, HIIT, mobility training, kettlebells)
