We don’t guess.   Job TitleDirector, Program Management   Job Summary Operating independently, under the management of the VP Program & Risk Management and Human Resources Operations, this position will spend 80-85% of time supporting & managing abelacimab programs in cancer associated thrombosis (CAT) or stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation (SPAF) in coordination with the respective Program Lead. Additionally, the role will support and nurture collaborations with Anthos’ CROs, AROs, consultants/contractors, other service providers, etc.  The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of project/abelacimab indication strategies in collaboration with key team members. The incumbent will spend the remaining 15 - 20% of time on efforts to improve operational business processes within the Clinical Operations team of Anthos Therapeutics, and on personal development and growth. Key Job Duties / ResponsibilitiesSupport of the abelacimab CAT indication (80-85%) ·      Able to independently manage projects of any type (e.g. collaborations with third parties, internal research projects, etc.), ambiguity and complexity.·      Work with teams to structure projects for optimal delivery. This responsibility includes:·      Developing sufficiently detailed workplans·      Identifying key milestones·      Determining key deliverables ·      Building and managing overall timeline planning·      Developing and presenting appropriate outputs to inform stakeholders of the status of projects ·      Lead and support project-oriented risk management processes including working with team members to identify risks and mitigation strategies, tracking risks and activities and performing scenario planning.·      Lead cross-functional impact assessment projects for changes to protocols, processes and/or procedures·      Ensure that team meetings have structure and clear purposes and goals; facilitate meetings effectively and clearly communicate decisions and action items to team members and relevant parties outside of the team. ·      Monitor team dynamics regularly to ensure optimal team performance; address and help to resolve conflicts and issues within teams. ·      Take action to avoid challenges that may arise from miscommunication, differences of opinion, misaligned objectives, inexperience, etc. ·      Lead process improvement initiatives and ensure systematic approach to managing changes in process to minimize disruptions to operations.·      Monitor processes and ensure that those responsible are informed of their effectiveness; advocate for and contribute to the success of change / process improvements when warranted. ·      Provide significant input into the management of, creation of, future evaluation and/or revision of (if necessary) of processes and tools used to support the projects, meetings, etc., as appropriate.·      Participate in and/or manage the planning and logistics of any indication related Investigator Meetings in partnership with the Clinical Program Team Lead, Medical Lead and Clinical Trial Manager.·      Participate in the planning and logistics of scientific conferences/congresses, as needed.Business Process Improvements / PM Talent Development (15-20%) ·      Work to ensure that PM best practices are being employed across projects: consistency of project management processes, scheduling practices, project cost management and risk management.·      Ensure Anthos Therapeutics operations are managed or affiliated processes are evaluated, and feedback is provided to process owners regularly. ·      Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives that require project management experience and understanding of Anthos Therapeutics procedures and policies, and which may involve influencing areas / management within Anthos Therapeutics. ·      Establish effective networks with Anthos employees, CROs, AROs, consultants/contractors and service providers, as needed to assist with the progress of all assigned projects / activities. ·      Identify and take relevant training courses to increase knowledge and understanding of the discipline of project management as applicable to Anthos and to improve leadership skills.·      Provide mentoring and technical oversight to other Project Managers working on common projects (if applicable). Requirements / Experience: ·      8-10 years of healthcare/pharmaceutical/ biotech industry experience ·      8-10+ years of project management or related experience (e.g. operations, process management, etc.)·      BS/MS/PhD with significant healthcare/pharmaceutical/ biotech industry or academic experience. ·      Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (preferred)·      Six Sigma (preferred)·      Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project and/or Timeline Pro+·      Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of SmartSheet software tool is a MUST·      Experience in leading teams, committees and/or task forces ·      Demonstrated ability to work effectively and accomplish goals in team settings ·      Ability to link project details to larger divisional / corporate strategies to provide context to teams ·      Effective interpersonal skills; history of ability to establish good working relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels; able to foster cooperation in others; creative problem-solver. ·      Effective written and oral communication skills ·       Demonstrated leadership and credibility: diplomatic, decisive, straightforward, honest Ability to delegate work effectively and hold others accountable for deliverables.  Anticipated Travel10-15% (US and possibly International) BenefitsAnthos Therapeutics offers a comprehensive benefits package which is subsidized 80% by the company.
