Description:
Principal Duties
Manages, oversees and coordinates all aspects for all types of projects, including the largest and most complex projects, from award through completion of projects
Manages the execution and review of all scope of work and terms and conditions in customer contracts
Proactively manages project financials including coordinating schedule of values, progress billing, invoicing, material and supply procurement, monitoring committed cost, maintaining positive cash flow and assisting in coordinating receivables
Translates project requirements into detailed proposals and project implementation plans to meet customer needs
Proactively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required, and maintains accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports
Identifies potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines
Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies, services
Performs Job Safety Audits (JSAs) as applicable in coordination with company safety officer
May have direct reports and perform managerial responsibilities such as mentoring, coaching, performance appraisals and salary reviews
Attend industry conferences to expand DAC, Inc. brand in the Texas market
Requirements:
Qualifications
NEBB Certified Professional (CP) or AABC Test & Balance Engineer (TBE) required
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred
8 - 10 years of experience in commissioning, balancing or a technical consulting field such as facility design, engineering or construction management. Thorough and demonstrated knowledge of Test & Balance is required
Strong knowledge of building systems including mechanical, electrical, domestic hot water systems, and control systems
Previous project management experience specifically with higher education, health care, pharmaceutical and/or commercial facilities
Proven track record of performing planning, functional testing, building performance investigation and building systems troubleshooting for new and existing buildings
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to a wide audience, including contractors, architects, and engineers with varying degrees of technical knowledge
Ability to manage scheduling and data review for multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to build successful partnerships and collaborative teams both internally and with other organizations
Previous experience with winning teamwork, leadership and highly collaborative environments
Strong background with using software and tablet devices to maximize site observations and efficiency of tasks
Ability to travel as required for projects being executed nation-wide. Anticipated travel annually is not expected to exceed 30%
