Process Improvement Lead

If you are passionate about process improvement and implementation, we invite you to consider a career as a Process Improvement Lead at MSI.The Process Improvement Lead is responsible for optimizing the manufacturing process, providing recommendations to improve quality and implementing improvement initiatives to achieve efficiency, quality and cost goals. This position combines strong technical skills and knowledge of company and production processes to facilitate creative solutions to internal and external customers. Provides support and technical data to other departments in response to customer requests.Responsibilities:Develops and optimizes manufacturing processes, procedures and systems to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization.Conducts internal audits and process improvement initiatives while interacting with production personnel, operations management, and business development.Assists with custom product development initiatives.Supports research projects that deliver business results through data driven decision making. Maintains documentation of all technical and experimental activities.Assists with changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiencies and utilization of resources, including labor, materials, and space. Manages new machine implementation, integration and logistics of the build, delivery, set-up, training, etc. once equipment has been identified.Develops, writes and updates work instruction manuals and processes.Provides technical, design, and administrative support for a variety of processes, namely product and sales support. This includes regulatory compliance, technical data sheets, third party testing requests, customer or supplier complaints, etc.Supports the development and implementation of new products based upon collaboration with cross-functional teams, own thoughts or in response to other incoming information to enable product development project success. Plans, promotes and organizes activities related to improving the quality and reliability of products and in-house operations. Leads teams in the quality process approach, successful problem resolution and continuous improvement projects.Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field. In lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.Minimum 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing company.Previous experience and knowledge of Solid Works, AutoCAD, or applicable 2D/3D designing and drafting software preferred.Lean manufacturing including 6S experience preferredPassion for learning about relevant technologies.Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to develop professional growth through collaboration and mentoring relationships.Proven organizational and time management skills.Above average problem-solving skills, ability to think outside the box.Demonstrated positive experience adapting to change.Strong customer service orientation, interacting with both internal and external customers.Proficient in software programs including MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Bluebeam, etc.Must be able to collaborate and work well within a team environment.At MSI, we offer competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package, work-life balance, a stimulating work environment, and a casual dress code.
