These roles are pivotal in driving the organization's mission to build sustainable eye care systems globally. The successful candidates will be accountable for the overall leadership, performance, growth, and impact of the multi-country portfolio within their respective regions. This includes leading the development and execution of bold regional strategies, translating global strategic plans into regional and country-level operating plans, and overseeing regional portfolio strategy to ensure coherence, scalability, innovation, and sustainability. The Chiefs will also be responsible for regional fundraising and resource mobilization, leading policy and advocacy agendas, and serving as the principal regional spokespeople and thought leaders. Applicants for the Chief of Region positions should have an advanced degree in a relevant field, with a preference for public health, international development, or health systems management. A minimum of 15 years' progressive senior leadership experience in global health or international development is required, with a proven track record of leading multi-country or regional portfolios. The ideal candidates will have experience in engaging with donors, governments, and multilateral institutions at senior levels, as well as a strong background in financial stewardship, risk management, and crisis leadership. Regional expertise and networks are highly valued, and a commitment to the values of the organization, including accountability, commitment, innovation, integrity, and equity, is essential.
