Job Description 3rd Shift Press Department LeadShift Hours: 11:00pm- 8:00amJob Summary:This position is relevant to the department they are assigned. Each department has a team leader, who is trained and experienced in their department's regular duties. In the absence of this position the department manager or Production Operations Manager will take over the duties.Education:High school or equivalentExperience:4 to 6 years in wide web flexographic printing manufacturing preferredPreferred Requirements:Must be able to operate a 10-color printing press preferably UtecoMust obey all personnel, product, and food safety regulations.Must adhere to all quality processes, including documentation and verification as they apply to the performance of your tasks.Ensure all printing department employees are doing the required documentation and verifications of the food safety and quality processes.Must be a team player.Ability to read a tape measure.Ability to lift between 50 to 75 lbs. minimum.Must be able to walk, squat, crouch, turn, twist, stretch, climb steps, grab, pull, push, and bend throughout an 8-to-12-hour shift.Duties:May be required to validate cleaning, preventative maintenance, and/or inspection logs.Required to train new employees in their assigned department through leadership and professional development.May be required ensure all department employees are performing the required documentation and verifications of the food safety and quality processes.Managing, designating, and enforcing key production and cleaning dutiesManage 10 plus employees at a time.Conduct interviews, hire, and discipline employees.Responsible for ensuring that food safety and quality requirements are being adhered to.Member of the safety committee.This job position is a "safety sensitive position."
