Field Technician

Plum Gas Solutions - Field Technician Plum’s Field Technician is tasked with providing virtual and on-site operational and technical support using their knowledge of natural gas processing equipment. The field technician collaborates with customers, performs mechanical repairs, and will troubleshoot operational issues with natural gas equipment, among other duties. They are the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email or onsite to ensure continuous operation of the Company’s field equipment. Travel May be required, depending on the home location, and may occasionally include international travel.Essential DutiesTechnical Services & Equipment Maintenance:Provide technical service and customer support in the field, including mobilization/demobilization and operation and maintenance of natural gas pressure regulation systems, conditioning equipment, compressors, CNG trailers and other gas equipment as needed.Perform monthly, quarterly and annual preventative maintenance on natural gas pressure regulation systems according to defined procedures.Monitor operating equipment using Scada telemetry systems.Collaborate with the technical support team to diagnose and resolve complex issues.Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues.Customer Service And ReportingCollaborate with customers to understand their needs and respond to their inquiries.Assist in remote monitoring and troubleshooting.Maintain spare parts and equipment inventory.Keep detailed time sheets and work orders to ensure accurate billing to customers.Document service and maintenance activities, including service reports, parts usage, and equipment records.Additional ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate the ability and willingness to travel as necessary.Complete all mandatory safety training and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Program.Provide technical training and guidance to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or GED, or three (3) years of relevant work experience, required.Associate’s degree in engineering technology or a related field a plus.CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSESSafety Certification Training Will Be Provided Upon HireSafe LandH2S for Oil &GasCPR, AED, First AidHandling Hazardous MaterialsValid state-issued driver’s license, required.ExperienceOne (1) or more years of experience working with gas processing equipment.Proven experience as a Field Technician or in a related role.TALENTSAttention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication.Effective time management.Adaptability.Problem solving capability.
