Job Title: Learning CoachReports to: Director of Prof LearningDept./School: Campus AssignedExemption Status: Exempt / 197 daySalary calculations will be commensurate with job experience.Primary Purpose:Work directly with teaching staff to support the delivery of high-quality instruction. Provide personalized and team instructional coaching, comprehensive instructional resources, professional learning opportunities and expert software integration support. Build capacity by equipping teachers with the skills and knowledge to plan effectively, design student-centered instruction, facilitate productive learning environments, and deepen their professional expertise.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Master's degree in education or related field preferredValid Texas teaching certificateSpecial Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of trends in teaching/learning theories, and effective technology integrationKnowledge of effective teaching and learning strategiesAbility to develop and deliver professional learning to adult learnersKnowledge of district curriculum and initiativesStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of implementation of software and troubleshootingExperience:Five years of teaching experience preferredParticipated in instructional coaching cyclesProfessional learning planning and facilitation experienceEffectively integrate pedagogy, content, and technology in an educational environmentMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Campus Support1. Provide job-embedded professional learning by way of instructional coaching to individuals and campus teams in accordance with district priorities, campus goals, and teacher T-TESS goals.2. Support campuses by providing expertise in lesson design, student-centered instruction, classroom management, and technology integration.3. Provide both in-person and online professional learning sessions for district instructional staff.4. Support teachers in the interpretation and disaggregation of data in order to adapt instruction to meet the needs of students.5. Provide data-driven professional learning that includes follow-through that positively impacts teacher growth and student outcomes.6. Develop district-wide professional learning and resources that promote the innovative and effective use of technology in the delivery of curriculum.7. Analyze professional learning survey data to assess campus and district learning needs.8. Support the deployment and integration of new instructional software applications.9. Support new Midway educators by coaching, supporting, and training new staff.10. Participate in campus instructional leadership team meetings as needed to support the success of campus professional learning initiatives.Leadership11. Take initiative to develop professional skills and knowledge appropriate to the position of a coach.12. Lead campus staff by maintaining high standards of professional conduct.13. Collaborate with the district professional learning team to provide specific leadership within the areas of instruction, innovation, and professional learning.Technical Support14. Provide the first line of support for staff, students, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of instruction.15. Collaborate with campus administration, district technology, and the professional learning team to organize, communicate, and carry out the rollout and collection of K-12 district-issued learning devices.16. Serve as liaison between campuses and district technicians who provide support for technology equipment and materials.17. Assist campus principal(s) and district teams with the selection, planning, and purchase of technology equipment and software that operates in the MISD environment.18.
