This is more than cooking, it's about setting the tone for a positive kitchen culture and guest satisfaction.Hourly Pay: $17.00 - $25.00Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & in-store discountsWhat You'll DoLead kitchen prep & service: Prepare daily meals and specials; manage hot/cold food lines with speed and consistencyMentor the team: Support training and supervision of prep cooks and dishwashersMaintain food quality: Follow recipes, ensure correct portion sizes, and meet food presentation standardsSupport safety & compliance: Follow all food safety regulations; inspect kitchen for cleanliness and organizationOversee kitchen coordination: Communicate with shifts regarding orders, inventory, and special requestsControl inventory: Track and restock prep ingredients, rotate food, and minimize wasteTake initiative: Jump in where needed whether covering the line, managing closing checklists, or resolving service issuesWhat You BringExperience & Skills:Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environmentKnowledge of food safety codes, equipment use, and food handling best practicesAbility to read and follow recipes in English and perform basic math for measurements and inventoryLeadership & Abilities:Strong communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to train, support, and lead team membersComfortable working in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environmentPositive attitude and problem-solving mindsetPhysical RequirementsStand up to 8 hours per shiftLift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedlyBend, stoop, kneel, and reach overheadWork in hot, cold, wet, or dry conditions indoors and outdoorsSchedule RequirementsFlexible availability across various shifts, including evenings and weekendsWhy Join Mother's Market?You'll be part of a mission-driven company that values wellness, sustainability, and outstanding customer service.
