About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled frontend engineer who doesn't just write code—but architects elegant solutions. You have immense hands-on experience with React and HTMX, and you understand when to use each for maximum impact. You're proficient with modern AI coding tools and use them strategically to enhance your productivity while maintaining high standards for code quality and security. You take pride in crafting performant, accessible user experiences and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. You're curious, adaptable, and excited about staying at the forefront of frontend innovation while maintaining strong fundamentals in core web technologies. Responsibilities Architect and implement user-facing features for our web applications. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences. Write efficient, maintainable code at scale while staying current with frontend development practices. Location This position is fully remote with the expectation to travel quarterly to our office in New Haven, CT. We do not provide work visa sponsorship. Professional work experience in DevOps, security, and cloud infrastructure – we use GitHub Actions, Docker, and AWS CDK extensively. Bonus Skills Python proficiency for backend integration, data processing, or DevOps scripting. Experience with Next.js or other React meta-frameworks. Familiarity with CSS-in-JS solutions (Styled Components, Emotion, etc.). Experience with GraphQL client libraries and schema-driven development. Knowledge of Web Components and micro-frontend architectures. Contribution to open-source projects related to frontend development. Experience with web performance monitoring tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, etc.). Exposure to design systems and component library development. Background or exposure to medical systems/processes. Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development with a proven track record of shipping production-quality code.
