Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:15pm- variable hour; Monday - Friday, with overtime scheduled as needed Position Summary: The Machinist 1-1 is responsible for the setup and operation of the CNC Machine Tools used to manufacture parts of varying designs and complexity. People in this job classification must be detail oriented and possess above average problem-solving skills. Previous experience with FANUC or Mitsubishi controls in an aerospace or medical manufacturing environment is a plus. This is a small batch production environment. Position Responsibilities:Setup and operate CNC Machine Tools to include Horizontal Machining Centers, Turning Centers, Mill-Turn MachinesMachine complex parts from a variety of materialsInitiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channelsIdentify and record any product quality problemsVerify the implementation of solutionsControl further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been correctedInspect parts that they manufacture and perform the relatedPosition Requirements:People in theMachinist 1-1job classification must be able to read engineering drawings and precision measuring toolsOwn or be willing to purchase all necessary tools of the tradePerform CNC Machine Tool setup and operationPerform CNC program editing in a G&M code formatPerform routine machine maintenanceEducation/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent.
