Company Description Korde & Associates, P.C., a well-established mid-size law firm based in Lowell, Massachusetts—recognized for its strong reputation and long-standing representation of secured creditors throughout New England—is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Attorney to join our fast-paced, high-volume practice.Job Description In this role, you will manage an active bankruptcy caseload, provide strategic guidance to lender and creditor clients, and represent client interests in court proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and experienced team known for its professionalism, integrity, and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes ownership of their work, and brings a strong work ethic and positive attitude to the team.Responsibilities and DutiesManage a high-volume Massachusetts bankruptcy caseload, representing secured creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 cases.Represent clients in other New England bankruptcy courts, as admitted.Prepare and review bankruptcy pleadings, including motions for relief from stay, proofs of claim and other bankruptcy documents.Appear in court for hearings and related proceedings, including contested and uncontested matters.Conduct online legal research and apply the Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and state-specific local bankruptcy rules.Advise lender and creditor clients on case strategy and risk.Demonstrate exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases.Report and track case activity and results in Firm’s case management system.Skills and QualificationsAdmission to the Massachusetts Bar, in good standing is required.Admission to the Massachusetts Federal District Court is required.Admission to other New England state and federal bars a plus.1-3 years of bankruptcy experience preferred, including motion practice in the Massachusetts Bankruptcy Court.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills required with an ability to complete work efficiently and accurately within specific timeframes.Must be able to multi-task and adapt to various assignments.Must be able to work independently and manage a busy workload.Must be able to efficiently leverage technology, learn common software platforms used by the Firm including Pacer, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook. Actual compensation is based on several factors that may include seniority, relevant experience, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.Job Type: HybridEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
