Janitorial / Day Porter

Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial / Day Porter to maintain cleanliness and enhance the appearance of our commercial and residential facilities. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning, custodial tasks, and facilities maintenance, with a strong commitment to quality service. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care techniques Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas Ensure restocking of supplies and proper disposal of waste materials Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the shift to ensure a safe and professional environment Spot cleaning lobby glass doors daily. Polishing brass/chrome on lobby doors. Vacuuming elevator cabs, wiping cab doors, and walls twice a day. Checking restrooms at least twice daily. Changing lights and cleaning lamp shields as requested. Responding to calls from the management office. Policing the building entrance three times a day for debris. Dusting, mopping, or vacuuming lobby floors twice daily. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus Familiarity with cleaning supplies, equipment, and safety procedures Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Reliable work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour Work Location: In person
