Job Title: Snowflake Data ArchitectClient: Anthem / Elevance Health's VirginiaLocation: On-site 3-4 days/week in Richmond, VADuration: 6+ monthsVisa: USC/GC/GCEADRate: Depends upon exp.Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise cloud data platforms for a direct client engagement. This is a highly visible, client-facing role requiring strong expertise in Snowflake, AWS, Python, enterprise data architecture, and healthcare data solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining architecture standards, leading technical discussions, guiding development teams, and ensuring successful project delivery.Required Qualifications: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake implementation and architecture 4+ years of experience with AWS cloud services 4+ years of experience with Python 4+ years of ETL development and data integration experience Expert-level knowledge of SQL and dimensional data modeling Experience designing enterprise data foundations and data ingestion pipeline architecture Experience with Agile delivery management, including sprint planning, milestone tracking, and risk management Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a direct client-facing environment Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the Health Payer or Healthcare industry Experience designing modern cloud data platforms and enterprise data warehouses Ability to lead architecture reviews, mentor engineering teams, and establish development standards Key Responsibilities:Define and enforce enterprise data architecture, ETL standards, and development best practices. Lead architecture and solution design workshops with client SMEs and business stakeholders. Design scalable enterprise data platforms using Snowflake, AWS, and Python. Provide hands-on technical leadership for ETL development, data modeling, and Snowflake implementation. Review and approve technical designs and code prior to deployment across environments. Architect enterprise data ingestion frameworks and reusable data integration patterns. Own delivery planning, including scope definition, sprint planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk mitigation. Lead and mentor cross-functional teams consisting of data engineers, analysts, and QA resources. Serve as the primary technical advisor to client leadership, driving architecture discussions, status updates, and solution roadmaps. Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and receive client approval before production deployment. Identify automation opportunities and build reusable frameworks to improve delivery efficiency.
