About the RoleWe're hiring Die Cast Machine Operators to support the production of precision aluminum and magnesium components used in medical, automotive, and power sports applications. Parts range from lightweight components to castings over 30 pounds. This is a hands-on manufacturing role with a clear, structured path for advancement. All operators start at Level C, with opportunities to progress to Levels B and A, earning higher pay and expanded responsibilities as skills develop. What You'll DoOperate die casting machines to produce aluminum and magnesium parts that meet quality and production standards Support die cast operations, including basic machine adjustments and setup assistance as directed Perform visual inspections to identify defects, surface issues, or nonconforming parts Use plug gauges and basic measuring tools to verify part dimensions and quality Safely handle cast parts weighing from a few ounces up to 30+ pounds Perform deburring and basic finishing operations Monitor equipment during operation and promptly report issues or abnormalities Follow standard work instructions, quality procedures, and production requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work closely with teammates in die cast and machining departments to keep production running smoothly Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements at all times Contribute ideas to improve quality, efficiency, and safety What We're Looking For Required: At least 6 months of machine operation experience in a production or manufacturing setting Ability to visually inspect parts for quality defects Experience using basic inspection tools (plug gauges or similar) Ability to stand for an entire shift and perform physical job duties Willingness to work in a hot, industrial manufacturing environment Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Reliable attendance and flexibility for assigned shifts and overtime Preferred (Not Required): Previous die casting experience Experience with deburring or metal finishing Experience in general labor or manufacturing Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Interest in advancing through operator levels over time Why You'll Want This JobEmployee-owned companywith a supportive, people-first culture Clear advancement pathwith defined skill levels and pay increases Work-life balancefriendly schedules , including: 4-day (4x10) workweeks Weekend shift option with full-time hours in fewer days Shift differentials for off-shift and weekend work Leadership that values engagement, collaboration, and employee input Long-term stability in an essential manufacturing operation Work Environment & Schedule24/7 manufacturing facility producing aluminum and magnesium die cast products On-your-feet work in a hot, industrial environment typical of die casting High standards of cleanliness and safety for the industry Safety glasses and hearing protection required on the production floor Available Shifts: 1st Shift:MondayThursday | 6:00 a.m.4:30 p.m. 2nd Shift:MondayThursday | 5:00 p.m.3:30 a.m. (shift differential) Weekend Shift:FridaySunday | 6:00 a.m.6:00 p.m. (additional differential) Overtime may be available on Fridays Ready to Get Started?If you're looking for a stable manufacturing role with room to grow, fewer workdays, and a team that takes pride in quality workwe want to hear from you. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
