Civil Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Kennedy Jenks is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven Civil Engineer with a focus on water and wastewater projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of conveyance facilities, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. We value engineers who thrive in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to project success from design through construction.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare designs, specifications, drawings, and calculations, with support from senior engineers. Assists the Project Manager where needed.Provide technical expertise to multidisciplinary project teams.Write technical reports and maintain accurate project documentation.Support project management efforts from conception to construction; lead small projects and attend internal and external meetings as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.6+ years of civil engineering experience; water/wastewater focus preferred.Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is required.Experience with site design (layout, grading, drainage) and water/wastewater piping design preferred.Knowledge of site layout, grading, drainage, and pipeline/yard piping design; ability to grow technical expertise.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations.Excellent technical writing and communication skills.Why Join Kennedy Jenks?Lead civil design on small/medium projects and support larger, multidisciplinary projects.Mentor and grow junior staff while expanding your professional expertise.Opportunity to serve as Project Manager on select projects.Work in a collaborative, innovative environment with diverse project opportunities.Kennedy Jenks supports a healthy work-life balance and utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work to empower our people to thrive and achieve their full potential.Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $110,000 to $153,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.Benefits summary: Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401k, bonus opportunities, tuition reimbursement, professional registration support, a competitive PTO and holiday plan, and other benefits and programs.#LI-Hybrid
