Senior Packaging Engineer

The Senior Packaging Equipment Engineer leads and directs all activities to optimize filling-line performance and drives continuous improvement plans. The Senior Packaging Equipment Engineer acts as project manager from ideation through full validation in production, meeting customer and business requirements. The Senior Packaging Equipment Engineer understands and implements written procedures in accordance with cGMP and other governmental regulations. He/she plays a key role in equipment selection for new projects and cost savings initiatives as well as actively lead process control and total productive maintenance strategies.Mechanical Engineers: Ready to Own the Equipment, Not Just Work On It?kdc/one is looking for a Senior Packaging Equipment Engineer to take a lead role in optimizing high-speed filling and packaging operations and delivering major engineering projects from concept through production.This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants ownership, technical influence, and visible impact — not a role where your ideas get buried in layers of bureaucracy.You’ll be responsible for:• Leading equipment engineering and OEE improvement initiatives• Managing capital projects from concept, vendor selection and FAT through installation and validation• Driving equipment improvements that increase throughput, reliability and quality• Leading Lean, Kaizen and TPM initiatives• Supporting new products, processes and capacity expansions• Partnering directly with Operations, Maintenance, customers and equipment suppliers• Leading projects with capital investments of up to $25M• Mentoring engineers and technical team membersWe’re looking for an engineer who brings:• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline• 7+ years of manufacturing/production experience• Strong experience with high-speed filling and packaging equipment• A proven track record of improving equipment performance and OEE• Capital project management experience• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM and continuous improvement• FDA-regulated manufacturing experience is a plus• Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP/CPM certification is a plusThis is a role for someone who can walk onto a production floor, understand what’s happening, figure out why it’s happening, and lead the team toward a better solution.If you’re an experienced Mechanical Engineer who enjoys equipment, automation, capital projects, problem-solving and making manufacturing systems perform better, this is an opportunity worth exploring.Work Authorization: Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States. kdc/one is not able to provide employer-sponsored work authorization for this position.
