Job DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Martinsburg, West Virginia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Cardiac Cath LabDiscipline: RNStart Date: 05/18/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 4x10hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: May 18, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and an active WV or compact RN license.DetailsAcute care cardiac catheterization lab setting with 7 suites, including 2 cath labs and holding roomsAdult cardiac patient population — procedures include peripheral and cardiac cath, PCI, and device implantation (ICD, pacers); no EP or ablationsAverage caseload of 4–5 cases per day, ranging from 2 to 9Cath lab team consists of 3 members: 2 RNs and 1 CV Rad TechEMR: Epic (Cupid module); imaging system is Xper (Dynamics)Telemetry monitoring via Philips hardwired at bedsideMedications managed via Omnicell; certain meds are mixed in the lab per orientation protocolMonday–Friday day shift, four 10-hour shifts (0700–1530)On-call rotation covering Monday–Friday 1530–0700, weekends, and holidays — averaging 10–11 call days per monthHolidays are covered through on-call (0700–0700)May float to Non-Invasive CV unit to start IVsRequirementsActive WV or compact RN license requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS (both AHA) requiredMinimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience requiredExperience with IABP and IVUS requiredExperience with Acist injector preferred but not requiredValid driver's license required for considerationAdditional InformationNavy blue scrubs are provided by the facilityOrientation consists of 2 shifts with a preceptor, followed by a buddy call experienceCardiology is on-call 24/7 to support the teamResource nurse manages daily flow and assignments and assists with cases as neededCOVID vaccination is required; medical or religious exemptions may be requested and are subject to facility approvalCandidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligiblePrevious permanent employees or travelers who have worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being consideredTravelers who have worked within the WVU system for a cumulative total of one year must take a 2-year break before returning13-week contractAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-704419.
