Estimator 📍 West Loop - Chicago, IL 🌎 Global General Contractor | Chicago HQA globally recognized General Contractor, headquartered in Chicago’s West Loop, is seeking an Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team.With 100+ years of history, this firm combines long-standing stability with a strong pipeline of complex, high-profile work - all based locally in Chicago, so no travel is required.Their diverse portfolio spans industrial, commercial, residential, hospitality, civil infrastructure, and more, with project values up to $500M, offering exposure to large-scale and technically challenging builds.What You’ll Be Doing:Prepare detailed cost estimates from conceptual through GMP stagesAnalyze drawings, specifications, and scope requirementsSolicit and evaluate subcontractor bidsDevelop budgets, value engineering options, and cost studiesCollaborate with project management, field teams, and clients during preconstructionSupport multiple projects across various sectorsWhat We’re Looking For:3–7+ years of estimating experience with a General ContractorExperience estimating large-scale projects preferredStrong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricingAbility to manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and analytical skillsCompensation & Benefits:💰 Up to $130,000 base salary🎯 Performance bonus🚗 Car allowance🏥 100% employer-paid health insurance🌴 Unlimited PTO (15-day minimum required annually)🏠 Hybrid schedule - 2 days remote per week⏰ Half days on Fridays📍 All projects local to Chicago - no travel requiredIf you’re looking to work on large-scale, high-profile projects with a globally backed contractor while maintaining strong work-life balance, let’s connect.
