QTEC supports a laboratory that was established to receive, analyze, and exploit terrorist improvised explosive devices (IEDs) of interest to the United States. QTEC Aerospace assists in the coordination efforts across law enforcement, intelligence and military to gather and share forensic data and intelligence about devices, tactics, techniques, and procedures-helping to disarm and disrupt IEDs, link them to their makers, and, most importantly, prevent future attacks.We seek an Electronics Technician with technical and analytical expertise. This technician will be responsible for conducting circuit and schematic analysis, developing accurate device schematics, conducting electronics research and component exploitation. The result analysis will provide senior military commanders essential data required to facilitate policy decision regarding force protection, direct multi-million-dollar acquisition programs for explosive resistant equipment, support enemy network analysis and relationships. The individual may provide technical supervision to lower-level engineers and technical staff.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:Support reverse engineering IEDs to determine functionality and triggering mechanisms Document schematics of electronic circuits used in IEDsSupport the signal analysis and RF characterization of wireless IEDsRecover digital forensics data from IED electronic memoryAssist in building replicas of real-world IEDs for training, testing, and demonstration purposes Provide rapid responses to requests for information to fill critical information gapsDevelop tools to aid in the research, analysis, and characterization of IED electronicsProvided technical subject matter expertise in development of software tools Minimum Education And ExperienceAssociates degree in Electronics or applicable technical field with minimum 10 years of relevant experienceRequired Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesExperience with electronic and computer equipment, electronic analysis, development of schematic drawings, using circuit design programs, and soldering Experience testing electronic or electrical devices with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, RF signal generators, waveform generators, audio analyzers, DSP analyzers, and multimetersExperience performing analysis, generating schematics, and troubleshooting electronic or electrical devices to the component level in various conditionsKnowledge of electronic circuit design and PCB layoutAbility to prepare written documents, including reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materialsAbility to brief and present findings to clients, customers, and external partners, interact with client engineers, and respond to technical questions and requests from customersExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsSelf-motivated and customer-orientedSecurity ClearanceCandidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD TOP SECRET level security clearance.LocationHuntsville, ALIt is the policy of QTEC, Inc. not to discriminate on the basis of gender, age, race, religion, disability, veteran status or any protected statuses and to take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified individuals within the company.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
