TransCore-Amtech Systems (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Test Engineer I to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Summary
Designs, develops, qualifies and maintains Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used for assuring product conformance in electronics manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Designs, develops, qualifies and maintains ATE for high-to-low volume electronics manufacturing.
Under the direction of a Senior level Test Engineer, develops test software in high level languages such as LabVIEW, C++, C#, and VB.NET.
Designs hardware/firmware to interface unit-under-test (UUT) to the ATE.
Develops and documents Software Requirements documents (SRDs), Test Plans, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Qualification Plans, and equipment Calibration Requirements. Conducts formal design reviews.

Experience with ATE Design
Strong testing, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate ideas.
Familiarity with hardware design and software integration
Must demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation to accomplish technically challenging assignments.
Strong programming skills in high level languages
Experience with test development including documentation requirements, communication of project status and results
Strong organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree (BSEE, BSEET, BSCS) required
RF Knowledge a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or reach. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.,
