Attendance Clerk
Attendance ClerkPrimary Purpose: Maintain accurate student attendance records and provide clerical support to the campus administrative staff. The Attendance Clerk ensures compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines related to student attendance and supports a welcoming and efficient front office environment for students, families, and staff.Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Experience in clerical or school office work preferred Knowledge of attendance procedures and recordkeeping Proficient in the use of computers and office equipment Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredMajor Responsibilities and DutiesAttendance & Records Management:Maintain accurate daily attendance records using the district's student information systemProcess daily attendance reports and notify administrators of excessive absences or patternsCommunicate with parents/guardians to verify student absences and obtain appropriate documentationPrepare and submit reports required by the district, state, and other agenciesWork with teachers and administrators to ensure timely submission of attendance dataClerical & Front Office Support:Answer incoming calls and provide general information or direct calls as neededGreet and assist campus visitors in a professional and courteous mannerProcess tardy slips, early dismissals, and student transfersMaintain confidentiality of student and family information at all timesAssist with other general office duties such as filing, mail distribution, and data entryWorking Conditions: Work with frequent interruptions Maintain emotional control under stress Prolonged use of computer and office equipment Occasional lifting of materials and supplies up to 25 poundsTerms of Employment: Salary is commensurate with experience Minimum Salary $22,186 Please note that this role requires in-person attendance and is not eligible for remote work.
