This in-person role is located in The Woodlands, TX, with the possibility of working from home for some tasks. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a major software transformation that is occurring at BEI utilizing various technologies and collaborating with in-house and near-shore IT resources.Qualifications• Proficient at full-stack application development.• Experience developing both web/cloud and desktop-based applications.• Understanding of basic data security principles required in development of internally or externally facing enterprise software applications.• Demonstrates ability to communicate with stakeholders effectively and excels at conceptualizing the "ideal end product".• Working knowledge of Agentic AI, Robotic Process Automation, and other automation tools, their use cases, and best practices.• At least 3 years of experience in several or all of the following critical technologies utilized in our current technology stack in a professional environment:o Cloud Infrastructure (AWS or Azure)o Digital Oceano C# .NET, Blazoro Pythono HTML/CSS/JSo MySqlo Git, Azure DevOpso OpenAIo Twilio & SendGrid APIo Django• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.• Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.• Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment, and independently in a remoteenvironment as needed.• Experience in the one of the following commodities/industries is a plus: bulk aggregates, concrete, cement, construction, 3PL logistics, building materials• Bilingual (English, Spanish) is a plus but not required.TravelSome travel up to 10% to satellite locations, engagement with project stakeholders on-site maybe required.The Ideal CandidateA candidate best suited to this role is comfortable:• Completing software development work items efficiently utilizing a background in both front and back-end development.• Collaborating with project stakeholders using the appropriate terminology to discuss the ideal solution.• Embodying the "entrepreneurial spirit" working for a small but quickly growing company.• Taking part in code reviews, recognizing their importance as a way of solving problems in a collaborative environment.• Working in an environment that may change day to day with new challenges as they arise.
