Apply via Dice today!About this Position:Job Title: Project ManagerEducational Background:Required: Must meet educational requirements: Possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis (must be documented). Required Qualifications: The Project Manager (PM) must have a minimum three years' experience in the last six years managing teams and/or programs that perform directly relevant experience, including managing a medium or large, similarly complex project to successful completion. performing project management and the following tasks:.Managing technical staff in IT projects, developments, enhancements or IT activities similar to the tasks associated with this Contract. Collaborating with team to identify technical issues and provide recommendations. Analyzing users' needs and finding solutions to serve them. Ensuring smooth functioning of technical operations. Monitoring and evaluating Team progress. Setting goals and ensuring overall client satisfaction. Providing technical leadership to Team through proper project management, coaching, training and mentorship. Project planning. Executing the project and project deliverables. Managing schedule(s). Overseeing and managing the Contract budget. Preparing documents and presenting to all levels of staff and management. Ensure completion of project tasks. Assessing business, technical, and enterprise architecture artifacts, tools, and environments. Coordinating, facilitating, attending and documenting regular project meetings and openly communicating to inform status, provide recommendations and discuss next steps and actions needed to perform tasks. Developing, presenting and timely completing project deliverables. Working collaboratively with Team and other Energy Safety staff as needed. Provide knowledge transfer and training. Making recommendations which support the Energy Safety IT enterprise. The PM must have a minimum one year of experience in the last three years managing the state client's information technology project involving application enhancement development. The PM must have a minimum of two years' experience in the last three years managing a project using an Agile methodology. The PM must possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI). DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Two or more consecutive years of experience not listed within mandatory qualifications, in the last 10 years providing project management consultative services to the State Departments.
