Business Information Developer Consultant

Location : This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office 1 - 2 days per week). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Norfolk, VA, Richmond, VA, Roanoke, VA, Indianapolis, IN, Atlanta, GA, Mason, OH, Louisville, KY or Tampa FL.Carelon Payment Integrity is a proud member of the Elevance Health family of companies, Carelon Insights, formerly Payment Integrity, is determined to recover, eliminate, and prevent unnecessary medical-expense spending.The Business Information Developer Consultant is responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses.How You Will Make An ImpactDetermines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.Performs modeling of information sources and flows.Coordinates the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects.Develops strategic report applications from the data warehouse.Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.Conducts training on use of applications developed.Most of the time will be spent programming.Minimum RequirementsRequires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities, And ExperiencesPC, spreadsheet, and database skills strongly preferred.Experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred.SQL programming skills strongly preferred.Medical Management and Claims data experience strongly preferred.Tableau development skills strongly preferred.SAS programming skills preferred.If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a `sensitive position' work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions.
