Director of Payroll Service & Distribution

Brief DescriptionKelly Benefits in Sparks, MD is seeking a strong leader to be responsible for the leadership, oversight, and performance of the Payroll Service and Distribution teams. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll, delivery of top-tier dedicated client service, and the accurate printing, packaging, and distribution of payroll checks, reports, and annual tax forms.This leader is accountable for the overall client experience across the service and distribution functions, with a strong focus on client retention, service consistency, and staff accountability. The Director leads through managers responsible for the day-to-day execution of payroll processing and client management, while setting direction, coaching leaders, building a strong and cohesive team, and ensuring adherence to Kelly Benefits Payroll service standards.As a member of the Payroll Leadership Team, this position is expected to represent Kelly Benefits Payroll with professionalism, sound judgment, and credibility in all internal and external interactions.This role is primarily responsible for; Leadership and Team Development and Participation Operational Oversight The Client Experience - Retention and Service StandardsMinimum hours are Monday through Friday 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required to achieve business objectives.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other Business-related fields. Minimum of 7–10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in payroll operations, client service, service bureau operations, or related business operations.Minimum of 5 years of management experience leading leaders and/or managers in a service-driven operational environment.Demonstrated experience overseeing client service operations, team performance, and operational execution in a deadline-driven environment.Experience in payroll processing, payroll operations, or payroll service bureau operations strongly preferred.Experience leading or overseeing high-volume distribution, fulfillment, print/mail, or payroll pack out operations preferred.SummaryWhy Kelly BenefitsWorking here means you’ll be part of a mission-driven team that values growth, collaboration, and service excellence.
