Work Type: Part-time/SeasonalNature of Work: This work involves assisting in the operation of the marina, selling gasoline, food, and soft drinks and performing other duties related to boating.Education and Experience: (The knowledge, skills, and abilities above may be acquired through, but are not limited to, the following combination of education and/or experience.)Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Competencies and skills:* Ability to learn the operation of a boat dock and marina* Ability to operate fuel pumps and a cash register and make correct change* Ability to communicate effectively with workmates and the public* Ability to understand written and oral instructions* Ability to stand and move about the facility 75 to 100% of the workdayEssential Functions: (Any one position may not perform all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all of the duties that may be performed in positions allocated to this classification.)* Ties up boats at the boat dock, dispenses gasoline, and collects payment* Sells snack food and drinks to boaters and other frequenters of the marina* Balances daily cash and charge receipts at the cash register and the fuel pumps* Maintains the marinas equipment and grounds* Provides customer assistance and responds to inquiries and complaints* Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates within the scope of this classificationSpecial Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years old.Pay Range: $15.00+ per hour.Benefits: Not applicable to part-time/seasonal employmentWho Can Apply: Any person who meets the qualifications and other requirements described in this posting.How to Apply: Completed City of Omaha employment applications must be submitted using the on-line application from the City website.
