Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Including the following, other duties may be assigned.Observe and follow all safety rules, plans, policies, and expectationsMaintain quality standards established for the assembly and/or packaging of productWork efficiently and achieve established production standardsOperate hoists and material handling equipment as necessary to manipulate productStudy blueprints, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances offinished work-piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirementsSet-up machines and verifies the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control dataSelect, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onmachines such as mills, lathes, and pressesObserve machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machiningFit and assemble parts into complete assembly and verify dimensions and alignment of assemblyMaintain regular and predictable attendance with occasional overtime expectedMust be able to work while standing for up to 12 hours per dayMust be able to lift without assistance up to 40 lbs.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essentialfunctions.Education/Experience MinimumsHigh school diploma or GED6 months verifiable experience in a CNC metal turning environment if candidate has no formaltraining in machining technologiesPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.
