Psychologist or Psychiatrist – Veteran Disability Exams

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychologist or Psychiatrist to conduct veteran disability examinations. This role involves evaluating mental health conditions, providing comprehensive assessments, and documenting findings to support veterans' claims. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to veteran care through clinical expertise. This role is mostly on-site, but there may be opportunities to conduct sessions remotely. Candidates with a strong background in various psychiatric disciplines and experience working with diverse populations are encouraged to apply. The role requires adherence to HIPAA regulations and meticulous medical documentation to ensure compliance and quality patient care. Duties Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnostic assessments of veterans, including those with PTSD and mental/eating disorders. Document clinical findings accurately within medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote assessments when applicable. Stay current with medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and best practices in mental health care. Requirements Active, unrestricted U.S. license in one of the following: Psychiatrist (board-certified), Doctorate-level Psychologist (PhD or PsyD), Neurologist Valid license to practice psychology in the state of Georgia Experience working with individuals with behavioral health conditions Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques Familiarity with medical record documentation and confidentiality protocols Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Ability to pass credentialing and background screening Compensation Starting at $80/hour 1099 Contractor Position Scheduling & Hours Flexible scheduling Providers submit availability, and ~60 minute exams are scheduled accordingly Part-time Contract Position: 15-20 hours a week Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: From $80.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: Hybrid remote in Snellville, GA 30078
