JOB DESCRIPTION Echo Lake is a premier Senior Living Community in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Echo lake provides high quality comfort, services and amenities for Seniors. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Security Attendant for our new community. Exercise Common Sense -- Makes decisions based on Sage Senior Living Core Values within one's scope of job responsibility and what is best for residents. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs daily/nightly rounds on site, noting any unsafe area or act observed and any equipment or community area in need of repair. Carries pager and cell phone. Full understanding of safety systems including call bell system; fire alarm system; door lock systems; disaster and evacuation plans. Secures all community doors according to schedule. Admits visitors and contractors after hours. Answers alarms, investigates disturbances and/or reports emergency situations. Contacts appropriate persons to perform emergency maintenance if necessary. Reporting of daily activities including: irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons and unusual occurrences. Contacts local Police or Ambulance Companies as necessary. Completes minor work orders related to Maintenance and Housekeeping. Assists Nursing Staff with resident movement as needed. Assists residents with lockout situations. Assists with snow removal and landscaping activities of the community as required. Escorts staff to and from parking lots if necessary. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to effectively interact with others in the Echo Lake Community. Able to be flexible, adapt and respond to change, make decisions in different situations and prioritize tasks and projects. Able to handle multiple responsibilities. Address emergencies as they occur. Must be eighteen (18) years of age. Able to walk up/down four flights of stairs. Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Able to use a computer, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
