Network Security EngineerLocation : LATIN AMERICA (REMOTE)We are seeking a Network Security Engineer with solid hands-on experience in network security technologies, specifically Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and practical experience securing AWS cloud environments. The role focuses on implementing, operating, and optimizing network security controls across on-premises and cloud infrastructures.The ideal candidate is technically strong, security-focused, and comfortable working in both traditional network environments and cloud-based architectures.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Security OperationsDesign, implement, and support secure network infrastructures across on-prem and AWS environmentsMonitor, analyze, and respond to network security incidents and alertsPerform firewall rule reviews, policy optimization, and change managementTroubleshoot complex network and security issuesFirewall & Perimeter SecurityHands-on administration of Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls including:Security policies, NAT, VPN, and routingIPS, Web Filtering, Application Control, and SSL inspectionHands-on administration of Palo Alto Networks firewalls including:Security policies, NAT, VPNsApp-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, WildFireManage HA configurations, upgrades, patches, and backup/restore activitiesCloud Network Security (AWS)Secure AWS network architectures using:VPC design, subnets, route tables, IGWs, NAT GatewaysSecurity Groups and Network ACLsDeploy and manage firewalls in AWS (FortiGate VM, Palo Alto VM-Series)Implement and maintain site-to-site and client VPNs between AWS and on-premSupport cloud security best practices and shared responsibility modelNetwork & ConnectivitySupport LAN, WAN, and Internet connectivityWork with routing and switching concepts (BGP, OSPF, VLANs)Implement network segmentation and zero-trust network principlesSecurity & ComplianceEnsure network security controls meet organizational security standardsSupport audits and compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, SOC, PCI, etc.)Maintain accurate documentation of network security designs and configurationsCollaboration & ImprovementCollaborate with cloud, infrastructure, SOC, and application teamsRecommend improvements to network and cloud security postureStay current on emerging threats and security technologies
