This is a hands-on coordination role responsible for managing linen flow, supervising daily linen activities, ensuring infection control compliance, and supporting continuous patient care operations.This position is ideal for candidates with hospital logistics, linen services, EVS, or supply chain experience who are comfortable working nights in a fast-paced healthcare setting.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessed Linen ManagementOversee inspection, weighing, documentation, and compliance of processed linenAssist with unloading linen carts from Receiving and transporting to LaundryEnsure linen weight accuracy and resolve documentation discrepanciesReport compromised or damaged linen to department leadership Soiled Linen ManagementCoordinate daily retrieval and shipment of soiled linen from all service areasEnsure compliance with UMMS infection control standardsEnforce proper PPE usage and safe handling practicesVerify weighing and submission of soiled linen documentation Linen Replenishment & Par-Level ManagementEnsure timely replenishment of linen across nursing, clinical, and diagnostic unitsConduct staff shadowing to ensure accurate replenishment proceduresAssist with data entry and tracking of assignment completion and service metrics Scrub Apparel ManagementOversee scrub machine replenishment and retrievalTrain linen staff on scrub machine proceduresMaintain scrub user data and review performance reportsCoordinate shipment of soiled scrub apparel to contracted vendors Departmental Linen OperationsMaintain linen stock locations and par levelsCoordinate with external linen vendors regarding service performance and issuesSupport embroidery/stamping of lab coats and scrub apparelEnsure department cleanliness, including break room upkeepPerform additional duties as assigned to support hospital operations Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED (preferred)Minimum 2 years of service, logistics, linen distribution, or hospital support experiencePrior healthcare or hospital environment experience strongly preferredAbility to lift and transport up to 50 lbs with assistance of equipmentAbility to stand, walk, push carts, and perform physical duties for extended periodsStrong leadership, organizational, and accountability skillsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishBasic math and data entry skills Interview Process2 Rounds:Phone InterviewTeams or In-Person Interview Why This RoleOpportunity to convert to a permanent UMMS positionCritical role supporting patient care and hospital operationsStable night shift scheduleHands-on leadership opportunity in healthcare supply chain
