Dane Street is expanding our physician panel! Due to added clients and increased volume, we have an urgent need for board-certified Physicians to support Disability Peer Reviews. JOB SUMMARYPhysician Reviewer/Advisor utilizes clinical expertise to review medical records provided and return an independent, professional opinion on the claimant s disability status as it relates to an application for disability benefits or the current status of disability. Determinations are based on the clinical evidence within the medical records provided. Job Responsibilities MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reviews all medical records and uses clinical expertise to opine and address a very small set of questions (typically one question) posed regarding disability statusReturns cases on or before the due date and time specifiedMaintains proper credentialing, required licenses, and any special certifications, and adheres to requirements necessary to perform in the role of Physician Reviewer/AdvisorAttends required orientation and trainingPerforms other duties as assigned including addressing any necessary clarification, providing addendum as required (with additional compensation,) and identifying and responding to potential quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory issues.Must be ok with making Peer to Peer calls when needed.Qualifications Current/active state medical license (any state)Current board-certificationActive practice
