We are looking for a motivated individual with expertise in computer vision, digital image processing, databases and analytics, supervised learning, web application development, logic in computer science, data mining and information retrieval.The data science intern’s experience at Jacobs provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience in innovative solution developments. Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides invaluable experience applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.Here's what you'll needB.A. or B.S Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field) from an accredited university; Preferred Masters’ DegreeProficient experience in data science focused on data for client studies, modelling, data wrangling, and/or ML/AIFluency in C#, Python, R, and/or other computing languagesFamiliarity with SQL and relational databases Experience with a variety of Business Intelligence tools including Tableau and PowerBIProven ability to work directly with clients in complex analyses and presenting deliverables to non-technical personnelAbility to travel as necessary to meet project and client requirementsDemonstrated ability to work autonomously and be self-directedProven ability to work within a collaborative team environment, excellent communication skills, and coordinate activities between program componentsStrong analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detailOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
