Job Description Job Opportunity: Med Surg RN (Registered Nurse)Our organization is in search of a committed Med Surg RN to deliver exceptional patient care at a partner healthcare facility located in Kearney, NE. In this position, you will provide comprehensive nursing services to adult patients within a medical-surgical unit, addressing a range of acute and chronic health issues.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough patient assessments and develop tailored care plans.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Monitor patient responses and document findings accurately in the electronic medical record.Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and nursing colleagues to ensure coordinated care.Facilitate safe patient discharges and educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and home care requirements.Perform daily tasks such as IV therapy, wound care, post-operative monitoring, vital signs assessment, pain management, and telemetry monitoring when necessary.Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols.Qualifications and RequirementsStrong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.Excellent communication abilities.Capability to prioritize and manage a diverse patient load in a fast-paced setting.Working ConditionsThis role is situated in a supportive hospital environment in Kearney, NE, where you will have the opportunity to enhance your clinical expertise and expand your professional skills.
