SummaryA reputable, mid-sized general contractor is looking to bring on an Assistant Superintendent to support ground-up commercial construction projects across Orange County. This role is focused on true site development and vertical construction and is ideal for someone who has built projects from the ground up and wants to continue growing within field leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Superintendent in managing daily field operations on ground-up commercial projectsAssist with site logistics, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors and tradesHelp oversee sitework activities including grading, underground utilities, and early-phase constructionCoordinate inspections with city, county, and DSA (if applicable) to keep projects movingMaintain jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance with project specificationsTrack progress using look-ahead schedules and assist with resolving field issuesWork closely with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth executionSupport documentation including RFIs, submittals, and daily reportsHelp drive schedule adherence from sitework through vertical constructionRequirements3-5 years of experience with a general contractor in a field roleExperience on ground-up commercial construction projectsExposure to DSA work, sitework, grading, and underground utilities preferredAbility to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural plansStrong coordination and communication skills working with trades and internal teamsFamiliarity with scheduling and field documentation tools (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)Compensation & BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid holidays and PTOStrong backlog of local ground-up work
