Join us as aEH&S ManagerThe EH&S Manager will lead the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of programs and systems that drive environmental, health, and safety excellence. This role fosters a proactive, accountable, and engaged culture by implementing robust processes designed to reduce loss, minimize liability, and support long‐term sustainability. The position ensures the Company meets or exceeds all legislative, corporate, and industry requirements, as well as recognized best‐practice standards. Working closely with the leadership team, this role will oversee the creation, alignment, and execution of annual EH&S goals and objectives. Emphasis will be placed on leading indicators while maintaining visibility to lagging metrics. The successful candidate will report performance to the corporate EH&S function and partner with site leadership to develop action plans for any measures not on track.The role will also support the development, updating, coordination, and delivery of training programs, including onboarding, annual compliance training, and training driven by risk assessments and identified needs. As the primary liaison with local, state, and federal OHS and environmental regulatory agencies, this individual will monitor regulatory changes and determine the most effective strategies for implementation.Success in this position requires the ability to engage effectively with team members at all levels—from front‐line associates to senior leadership. Significant time will be spent on the production floor, gathering insights on safety and health opportunities and ensuring leadership is equipped to address current, relevant concerns and improvement areas. Essential Functions for the EH&S ManagerThe EH&S Manager will be a leader in the development, deployment and continuous improvement of programs and systems that support environmental, health and safety excellenceFoster a culture of proactivity, accountability, engagement and sustainability through robust programs and processes with the primary goal of reducing loss and liability.This key role will lead EH&S matters to ensure the Company meets or exceeds legislative, corporate, and industry requirements, as well as best practice standardsProvide support to the development, implementation, and management of safety programs (LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, etc.)to ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable environmental standardsManage workers' compensation loss control program, which includes monitoring claim levels, reducing costs, and early return to work in coordination with Human ResourcesLead the leadership team through investigation of all accidents and incidents, prepare and maintain required reportsIdentify countermeasure to prevent reoccurrenceProvide new hire orientation outlining the Company's high expectations regarding safety rules and regulationsIntegrate and partner with the EHS team to promote a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention and regulatory complianceOrganize and participate in safety committee activitiesDevelop specific EHS objectives and create action plans to meet those objectivesMaintain, review and report EHS performance, identifying opportunities for improvement along with implementing preventative and corrective actions as requiredConduct internal EHS audits to ensure regulatory complianceWork with site leadership team to ensure all key EHS operational controls are in place and EHS action items are resolved on a timely basisDevelop, deliver and/or coordinate EHS training and training toolsManage and maintain site specific internal EHS systems and reporting toolsAssure appropriate countermeasures are properly identified to prevent reoccurrence utilizing a robust incident investigation process including 5-Why root cause analysisEnsure timely coordination of all regulatory or Company required testing and training, including industrial hygiene testing as assigned Required Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with a major in occupational safety, environmental science, or a closely related field5+ years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentAttention to detail and capability to analyze data and make sound conclusionsStrong aptitude for organization, prioritization and managing multiple tasks at the same timeAbility to actively participate in team-oriented processes influence team engagement and to drive team decision making to conclusions/solutionsMust possess a theoretical and practical knowledge of all state and federal regulatory standardsKnowledge of current safety and loss control practices is essentialProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc Capabilities and Success FactorsDecision Quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forwardPlans & Aligns - Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goalsCommunicates Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiencesOrganizational Savvy - Maneuvering comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamicsInstills Trust - Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
