RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):System design, build, and test, including camera, solar, battery & electrical elementsComponent repair, maintenance, calibration and certificationOnsite installations & training in various locations across the Americas, "gets the job done".Technical Support by e-mail, phone, or onsite for our customers in the AmericasMaintains rapport with customers by examining complaints and identifying solutionsResponsible for documentation of service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records for quality control purposesPerforms all other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Position is located in Prince Georges County4-year degree or Certification in the electrical/technical fieldPrior field engineering and electrical experience essential3 years of experience with component-level repair and/or assembly in a workshopService experience in camera, radar, laser, photo, and/or optical systems is very advantageousAbility to work well under pressure and manage a challenging workloadIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience in SAP, or other ERP/MRP databaseUp to 50% travel possible, international and domesticValid driver's license and Passport requiredEffective communication skills, both written and verbalMust possess "soft skills": personal effectiveness, creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and team-building skillsSkilled in dealing with people effectively and politelyInternational service experience is desirablePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
