Job Title: EHS ManagerJob DescriptionThe Safety Manager leads and maintains the organization’s safety and risk management programs across community-based and correctional settings. This role ensures compliance with California safety regulations, trains staff, supports incident prevention and response, and promotes a trauma-informed culture of safety. Regular travel across California is required, with occasional travel to Arizona.ResponsibilitiesLead and maintain the organization's safety and risk management programs.Ensure compliance with California safety regulations such as Cal/OSHA, IIPP, and WVPP/SB 553.Train staff on safety protocols and procedures.Support incident prevention and response initiatives.Promote a trauma-informed culture of safety across the organization.Travel regularly across California, with occasional travel to Arizona.Essential SkillsExpertise in safety, EHS management, and health & safety protocols.OSHA certification.Experience in building out programs and IIPP.Proficiency in reducing claims and managing environmental health.Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety programs.OSHA 30 certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in Safety Program Development & Governance.Knowledge of Cal/OSHA Compliance & Injury and Illness Prevention (IIPP).Understanding of Workplace Violence Prevention (California SB 553).Skills in Training & Faculty/Staff Development.Capabilities in Emergency Preparedness & Response.Strong skills in Collaboration, Compliance & Culture.Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes an open space with the potential to retreat to an office for meetings or calls. The company has a culture akin to a startup, with around 200 employees and a focus on giving back to underserved communities. The team size is small, consisting of 2 members.
