About the job:An established General Contractor is currently looking for an experienced Superintendent to work on K-12 & Municipal Construction projects in Central Maryland.The company is a well-regarded firm specializing in public construction projects across Maryland/Virginia, including K-12 schools and municipal facilities. Projects range from $500K to $100M. The business serves the full spectrum of public sector construction - from small renovations to large-scale educational and government facilities.Location: Maryland | Salary: $120K–$160K Base + 20% Bonus | Truck/Allowance IncludedResponsibilities:Site Leadership & Execution• Coordinate with owners, stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams• Oversee materials and equipment management• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project records• Own day-to-day site operations - scheduling, organization, and supervision of all construction activitiesScheduling & Planning• Drive project schedules and proactively manage risks• Identify potential scheduling conflicts and implement mitigation strategies• Coordinate sequencing of trades to maximize efficiency and minimize delaysHealth & Safety• Lead quality control and safety compliance on site• Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards• Promote a proactive safety culture across all tradesQuality Control• Ensure all work meets project specifications, drawings, and quality standards• Conduct regular inspections and manage punch lists• Solve problems in real time and adapt to evolving site conditions• Coordinate with project team to resolve design or constructability issuesQualifications & Experience• 7+ years of superintendent or related construction leadership experience• Proven track record on mid-to-large K-12 or municipal projects ($20M-$100M+)• Proficiency in construction management software• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills• A collaborative approach and sound decision-making under pressure• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsFeatured benefits• Base salary: $120,000–$160,000• 20% performance bonus• 20 days PTO• Company truck or truck allowanceReady to build something that matters?
