A viable candidate will independently perform routine operations commensurate with their experience and training. They support the day-to-day operation of a cGMP Manufacturing facility and improvement projects. This individual works collaboratively with the team as needed to complete the tasks assigned.ResponsibilitiesWork with team members in the compliant execution of manufacturing activities.Act as a high-level technician on the floor as needed. Perform sophisticated activities to include Weigh and Dispense, Solution Prep, and Autoclave operations. In addition, the associate will be cross-trained to be able to perform functions across multiple manufacturing departments.Ensure compliance to following written procedures in operation of production equipment and performing processing steps.Practice safe work habits and adheres to safety procedures and guidelines.Accurately document activities in Batch Records, Logbooks, Forms, etc using good documentation practices.Identify deviations to the processes and escalate as required.Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and communicate issues per department guidelines.Become a SME and qualified trainer on operations.Support continuous improvement in process operations and systems.Review and revise manufacturing batch records, SOPs, and work instructions.Submit work requests through validated maintenance software.Support investigations/activities with cross-functional teams as needed.Monitor processes using automated production systems and controls with limited supervision.Involvement in commissioning, qualification, and validation of manufacturing equipment.Participate in tier meetings within department and communicate issues when appropriate.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associate's degree or STEM/Biotechnology certificate in related field is a plusExperience2+ years' work experience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related fieldPreferred: Experience in a cGMP environmentKnowledge/Skill/AbilitiesStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).Strong attention to detail and strive to accomplish the job timely, accurately, and safely the first time is required.Must be fluent in English.Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentMust have the ability to aseptically gown into the Manufacturing areas daily.Will be regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; sit and to talk or hear.Will be required to walk and stoop, or kneel, crouch.May be required to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.Will be expected to meet the specific vision abilities required by this job which include close vision and ability to adjust focus with tasks.What We OfferCompensation:Competitive Hourly Pay Rate!Additional shift differential for 2nd shift and 3rd shift positionsAnnual performance-based bonusAnnual merit performance-based increaseExcellent Benefits:Benefits & Total Rewards | Thermo Fisher ScientificMedical, Dental, & Vision benefits-effective Day 1Paid Time Off & Designated Paid Holidays401KTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral BonusCareer Advancement OpportunitiesCompensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $23.02$30.69.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
