This role requires expertise in distributed systems, Linux environments, containerized applications, cloud infrastructure, and networking, along with the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, and R&D teams to drive scalable, long-term solutions.A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:Dive into a gnarly hardware/software interoperability issue spanning Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP — and actually find the root cause, not just a workaroundSit down with Product, R&D, and DevOps to reproduce a persistent bug, validate a fix, and weigh in on whether the architecture itself needs to changeWrite a Python or Bash script that eliminates a manual task for good — because you think like a builder, not a ticket-closerTrace log files and network traffic to catch bottlenecks in our data pipelines and IoT hardware before they become customer-facing incidentsTurn what you just learned into an SOP, then teach it to Tier 1/2 so the next engineer doesn't need you to solve itRequirements:3+ years in Tier 3 Technical Support, Systems Engineering, DevOps, or SRE - ideally in SaaS, IoT, or hardware/software environmentsDeep, hands-on Linux troubleshooting via command lineProven experience deploying and troubleshooting Docker and Kubernetes in productionStrong grasp of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, load balancersScripting fluency in Bash or Python for automation and log analysisWorking knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Comfort operating in Jira Service Management, GitHub, and SalesforceIdeally, we’re looking for: IaC/deployment tools (Jenkins, Helm)Machine vision or AI-driven SaaS backgroundStartup experienceAutomotive tech or enterprise hardware+software exposureAbility to translate technical capability into business outcomes Benefits we offer:Competitive Medical, Dental, Vision.Company 401k Match.20 PTO days, Company paid holidays.Career growth as we scale across the US.Compensation:UVeye provides salary ranges that comply with the New Jersey State Law on salary transparency in job advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, location, education, and operational needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits.
