Physician - Psychiatrist

Our client in Missouri is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist for a 125-day assignment beginning Jun 1, 2026. This vital role involves 8-hour shifts, overseeing a patient panel directly and supervising an APRN within a state forensic inpatient facility. The Psychiatrist will manage severely mentally ill patients with complex diagnoses, providing essential long-term care. Responsibilities and Duties Oversee a panel of 15 patients directly. Supervise an APRN responsible for 10 additional patients. Provide care on the 3 East unit within a state forensic inpatient facility. Manage a patient population consisting of severely mentally ill individuals. Address common diagnoses including Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, Substance Abuse Disorders, and Paraphilia. Handle cases involving NGRI and SVP status, which require court-ordered conditional release. Manage an average of three admissions and discharges per week. Provide long-term care, with patient average lengths of stay spanning years. Additional Information Board Certified in Psychiatry.
