Company DescriptionPro Trades Solutions is hiring for a company out of North Salt Lake that specializes in structural concrete. The owner has been one of the estimators and they are needing to add another estimator to the team so he can focus on other duties. The estimators often do some project management of the projects they bid.Pro Trades Solutions is seeking an experienced Structural Concrete Estimator to join our client's IN OFFICE preconstruction team in North Salt Lake, Utah. In this role, you will prepare accurate cost estimates for concrete and structural projects, including foundations, post-tension concrete tilt-ups, slabs, decks, walls, and columns. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, and experience collaborating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver competitive and profitable bids.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project plans, specifications, and addenda to determine project scopePerform detailed takeoffs of concrete, reinforcing steel, and formworkDevelop accurate labor, material, and equipment cost estimates using historical data and vendor quotesPrepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentationCommunicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and confirm scope detailsIdentify value engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiencyAttend pre-bid meetings and site visits when requiredCollaborate with project managers to transfer bid knowledge after project awardMaintain estimating databases, cost history, and production ratesMonitor industry trends, material pricing, and market conditionsQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in concrete or structural estimating (commercial, industrial, or civil projects)In-depth knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, and equipmentAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, B2W, PlanSwift, Track, Earthworks) and Microsoft ExcelStrong math, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates at oncePreferredDegree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience with general contractors or specialty concrete subcontractorsFamiliarity with local building codes and construction safety regulationsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Paid time offExperience:Commercial Concrete Estimating: 3 years (Required)Work Location: In person
