Master Carpenter/Painter – Build, Lead, and Elevate Standards

Location: Grass Valley, CA (Projects within 45 minutes) Position Type: W-2 Employment | Full-time preferred (25–42 hrs/week) Pay Range: $38–$55 per hour DOE + performance bonuses tied to quality, schedule, and client satisfaction About the Role At Happy House Maintenance LLC, is a home remodel/dry rot repair, and painting contractor in grass Valley area, while we are small now we are working towards becoming a world class lean construction company. We’re seeking a Master Carpenter and/or Paintner who embodies craftsmanship, ownership, and pride in the details that others overlook. This role is for someone who can repair dry rot, build decks, and use a Paint sprayer with skill and precision while leading by example. From deck rebuilds and siding restoration, you’ll be trusted to deliver work that stands the test of time. You won’t just build projects, you’ll build trust, efficiency, and a stronger team culture rooted in integrity and excellence. 90-Day Success Metrics 85% of jobs completed within labor budget and schedule. Job sites consistently clean, organized. Clear timely communication Generally glowing client reviews of your workmanship. Daily photo documentation and progress notes uploaded through CompanyCam. What We’re Looking For Minimum 5 years of professional carpentry and/or painting experience. Mastery in framing, dry rot repair, and or painting. Ability to interpret plans, scopes, and change orders accurately. Reliable, self-managed, and driven to exceed expectations. Positive communicator—balances urgency with professionalism. Valid driver’s license, truck, and full set of professional hand tools. Strong leadership presence; naturally mentors others without ego.
