Accounting Associate
Job SummaryWe are searching for a skilled and detailed oriented Accounting Associate to join our team at DB Roberts!As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in essential accounting function including but notlimited to assisting the credit team, auditors with administrative, accounting and bookkeeping functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned. Performs a wide range of accounting and administrative duties to support the team. Review invoices and process for payment. Ensure invoices are not duplicated when getting a second request for payment. Work with asset management to get problem invoices resolved. Research any returned checks, write up stop payment forms. Escalate issues of concern to management if we go on credit hold with a vendor.Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-4 years of experience in accounting or closely related role, preferred.Skills And Requirements To perform the position, you must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a US Person as a US Citizen,US Permanent Resident (I.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays. Basic math knowledge. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time. Strong computer skills, including proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Self-starter with ability to manage priorities and workflow (without micro-management). Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Acute attention to detail. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently, as well as in a strong team environment with a positive work culture.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type,use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients,co-workers, and customers.
