Regional Sales Director
The Regional Manager is responsible for achieving region sales goals and win new business throughout the Midwest. Introduce new products to customers, executes organizational initiatives and drives sales of key items with customers for long-term growth. Look for and develop new business across Retail Meat, Deli, Foodservice and Industrial channels. Work directly with our broker partners to drive existing products through execution, distribution and new item placement.If you love good food, want room to grow in your career, and want to sell a product you can stand behind this is a perfect position for you.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCustomer ManagementTravel to stores throughout Wisconsin and the surrounding region visiting meat and deli departments (3-4 days a week)Maintain relationships with store owners and department directors with annual or quarterly brand reviews. Build strong relationships with buyer, broker, and distributor networks. Service businesses big and small; at the store and corporate level.Sales LeadershipDevelop and execute sales strategies to grow retail, deli, foodservice, and industrial ingredient accounts.Manage and expand key accounts (national retailers, regional grocers, food manufacturers, restaurants, distributors).Build and implement pricing, trade promotion, and discount programsRepresent Badger Ham at trade shows, industry events, and community activations (e.g., Hot Ham Sundays).Team & Process ManagementPartner with operations and finance to forecast demand, set realistic sales targets, and ensure profitable growth.Manage incoming POs to ensure full and on-time delivery while minimizing shrink or out of stock instancesLead, mentor, and develop sales team members to achieve ambitious goals.Collaborate with marketing to align branding, trade show strategies, and promotional campaigns.Market & Competitive InsightTrack category trends (deli, prepared meats, charcuterie, plant-based) and translate insights into actionable strategies.Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and merchandising strategies to maintain a competitive edge.QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5-10+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.2+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in food, beverage, or CPG (meat industry preferred).Proven track record of securing and growing accounts with major grocery retailers, distributors, or foodservice chains.Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with buyers and brokers.Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a fast-growing, family-owned business environment.Willingness to travel (50%) for customer visits primarily in the state of Wisconsin.
