Overview:
In this role you will join Prosum's Product Development team to evolve a Java-based scheduling and factory planning app using AI-enabled tooling. You’ll bridge gaps with Germany-based engineers during a transition, accelerate development, and modernize systems through AI-driven methods. This mid-level position emphasizes adapting to emerging AI technologies while delivering business-critical planning capabilities. A strong focus on collaboration and strategic modernization motivates the work. You will help shape long-term development efficiency and product evolution.

Responsibilities:
Maintain, enhance, and modernize the Java-based scheduling and factory planning applicationUtilize AI tools (Claude AI platforms, GitHub-based AI tooling) to accelerate development and code optimizationLeverage AI to rapidly self-learn and document legacy systems during knowledge transferCollaborate with Germany-based engineers during transition periodContribute to long-term strategy of consolidating and modernizing development through AI-enabled efficiencyWork closely with Product Development leadership and cross-functional stakeholdersSupport business-critical applications involving scheduling, factory planning, capacity planning, and constraint-based systems
Key requirements8–12 years of professional Java development experienceStrong experience with Oracle databases and SQL-based systemsFamiliarity with enterprise-level business applications (operational planning systems, scheduling logic, capacity constraint modeling) Commercial exposure to AI-assisted development tools (Claude AI platforms, GitHub AI tools) Comfortable working in hybrid environments (LA-based preferred) Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to emerging technologiesself-motivatedadaptablecollaborativeJava developmentOracle databasesSQL
