PCA Personal Care Assistant/ Medication Tech

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity while promoting independence. This role is crucial in delivering personalized care within home and community settings, particularly for those with special needs such as dementia or other health challenges. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and client preferences. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that their living space is tidy and organized. Support clients in adhering to their care plans, including medication reminders and therapeutic exercises. Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and individuality at all times. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients. Assist with mobility and transportation needs as required, including accompanying clients to appointments or community activities. Must pass drug screen Must have high school diploma/GED Experience Previous experience in patient care, home community care, or working in a group home setting is preferred. Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques and the ability to implement care plans effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to assisting individuals in need. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
