Dispatch/Logistics Assistant 1Johnny B. Transport (JBT) is among the largest in-house asphalt transportation companies in our market with full-service capabilities and assets including asphalt tankers, asphalt distributors, railcars and portable pumping units. JBT is a subsidiary of Idaho Asphalt Supply, Inc. (IAS) which is a leading asphalt supplier and marketer in the Inland Northwest and Pacific Northwest Regions. With plants in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, California, and Arizona, IAS supplies a diverse product line of asphalts, polymer-modified asphalt, and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry. JBT is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for a Dispatch/Logistics Administrative Assistant 1 at our North Salt Lake, UT facility. This is an entry-level position.Position Overview:Position Responsibilities:Assist with communication with shop on trailer repairs.Help with daily paperwork.Basic knowledge of truck regulations.Dry out process.Data entry.BOL review.Understand plant code and ID system.Assist with truck dispatching and logistics.Scale trucks.Actively participate in driver safety and training.Maintain driver information in LME and on the system.Ensure LME and Samsara are always current with the correct truck, driver, and trailers.Assist with various projects in coordination with the manager.Position Skills/Requirements:To be a strong fit for this opportunity you will have:A high school diploma or GED equivalent1 year work experience in administrative workProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)Attention to detail.Good written, oral and reading skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsMultitask oriented, organized, set priorities and meet deadlines.Highly resourceful; has the ability to solve problems independently and create useful and unique solutions in challenging situations.Safety experience and training a plus.Physical Requirements:Normal concentration/intensity, which includes prolonged mental effort.Normal memory, taking into consideration the amount and type of information.Normal complexity of decision-making.Normal physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job.Normal physical strength to handle routine field operations.Must be able to work on-site in an office environment.Key Competencies:Organized and Strong Attention to DetailDedication to producing error-free, accurate work.Gets things done.Successfully juggles multiple projects.Manages time efficiently.Drive for ResultsBias for action and getting things done.Taking calculated risks.Prioritize and push projects and initiatives to completion.Follows up with various parties.TeamworkDevelops and leverages cooperative relationships.Willingly shares information/resources and assists others.Contributes constructively to the team decision making process.Supports the team decision with comments/actions outside the team.Fosters development by giving feedback, coaching, and mentoring.Embraces and Drives ChangeDemonstrates energy for effective implementation of change.Sees what is possible.Takes responsible risk.Owns & sustains the change.Personal Growth MindsetAble to reflect and learn from mistakes.Is curious and asks questions.Seeks to continuously improve themselves and everyone around them.
